All Your works shall give thanks to You, O Lord,
And Your godly ones shall bless You.
They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom
And talk of Your power;
To make known to the sons of men Your mighty acts
And the glory of the majesty of Your kingdom. Psalm 145:10-12
…”And Your godly ones shall bless You…”—I don’t even know what to do with that. How can we bless You? How is that even possible? I am so blessed. Blessed with life, forgiveness, love, security… How can we—I—bless You? Why would You allow that? Why would You permit that? Why?
Oh, thank You. My desire is to bless You. Oh, that’s my desire. You say it can be true? You say that I can bless You??!! Me? Me!
Be blessed. Be blessed! I am Yours…one of Your “godly ones”…I bless You. The glory of Your kingdom…Your power…yes, let me talk of these. I must make known Your mighty acts to the sons of men…how could I not?! My very life—found in You—is one of them. A mighty act that You could and would save a sinner like me. Make me clean. Draw me close. Show me Your glorious kingdom. Just a glimpse now, someday fully revealed. Your power…I need it desperately. I want it. I know nothing like it.
The Lord sustains all who fall
And raises up all who are bowed down.
I do not want to fall away from You—but I do want to drop before You. I want to live there. Make my life there…my home…there at Your feet. Bowed down before You. May I? May I stay at Your feet? Let me live there at Your feet—bowed down—blessing You. Can it be true…that You will let me do that here on earth…and also for eternity? Not only being blessed by You, but blessing You? How can it be true? Who are You? Powerful, glorious, majestic God.
Don’t let me do anything that would hinder me or keep me away. Help me live in a way that will usher me into Your presence. I need Your power. I am weak. My desires can be swayed….they can be so strong. Don’t let me be swayed. My heart is Yours—please hold it. Don’t let another steal it.
